It was with a heavy heart that the staff and students of Adamstown Community College learned of the passing of our dear friend and colleague Josephine Moynihan. Josephine was a valued member of the school in her role as a Special Needs Assistant. She had been working at the school for the past eight years. Before joining the staff at Adamstown she spent three years working in Collinstown Community College between 2008 and 2011.
Prior to becoming an SNA Josephine trained in children and general nursing and worked in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Her nursing training was evident in her daily life as she always showed care and compassion when dealing with students and staff alike. During her time as an SNA her kindness, understanding and devotion helped so many students reach their full potential and enabled them to achieve their goals. Josephine will be sadly missed especially within the SNA department. Her husband Jimmy, sons Shane and Páidí and daughter Mairí are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
